Deb Rocha
Original and Traditional Brazilian Songs
When was the last time you heard the soothing, lilting sounds of Brazilian music? Deborah Rocha would like to reacquaint you with this most interesting genre of world music. As a musician, it is Deborah’s main goal to bring Brazilian music to a larger audience, to show through the music what we all have in common. As a songwriter, she creates poetically faithful translations of Brazilian lyrics into English, and she composes original songs which are heavily influenced by the rhythms, melodies, and harmonies of Brazilian music. Deborah has brought her infectious enthusiasm for Brazilian music to Scullers Jazz Club, Ryles Jazz Club, the Marblehead Arts Festival, Arlington’s “Tunes on the Green,” Boston’s First Night 2005, and the Women in Latin Jazz festival in JP.

Perry Desmond-Davies
The first thing you notice about Perry Desmond-Davies music is her voice: always tender, lyric and melodic, at times soaring, seductive or smoky. Perrys honest brand of contemporary acoustic music is about life stories that listeners can relate to. Her original songs range from the bittersweet ballad of a child’s love in "Hey Dad" to the very grown-up adult’s fantasy in "Irresponsible" and straightforward love song "All I Want". She also pays tribute to her influences with selective covers of legendary artists like Bonnie Raitt, Neil Young and Bob Dylan, but with a soul and a voice that is all her own.

Carrie Rowan
After a successful ten-year climb up the corporate ladder, I assessed the view from above, took a deep breath and decided to jump. Landing softly on my piano bench, I was comforted by the sentiments that floated inside me longing to be a rhythmic wave of melody. I traded in the navy power suit and fancy wheels in search of the missing rung that has revealed itself in words and music. After experiencing unconditional love and unfathomable loss in my life, I have found my voice with an even stronger yearning.

Stuart Ferguson
Stuart Ferguson is an exciting voice on Boston's thriving acoustic music
scene. His tenor voice displays broad emotion moving through a lyric to
deliver songs that are stories and poems of personal struggle, both his
own and those of the people of the landscape of his experience.
Stuart has been featured at a number of New England venues including: Club
Passim, The Nameless Coffeehouse, Naked City Coffeehouse, and The Wail
Magazine Coffeehouse. He has played around the country from Bellingham, WA
to Morgantown, WV and has shared the stage with Ellis Paul, Dar Williams,
Flynn, Vance Gilbert, Don White, Jim Infantino, Jon Svetkey, Peter Mulvey
and Geoff Bartley.
"Stuart Ferguson writes songs that capture your imagination, and sings
them in a voice that is addictive to the ears."
-- Ellis Paul
"Stuart tells stories that have the ring of an unadmitted truth. His voice
is clear and haunting, his delivery is honest and unflinching. Unlike the
all-too-common introverted songwriter Stuart's songs tell the hard stories
many of us know, but few give voice to. A troubadour has a specific job to
do -- and Stuart knows how to do that job."
-- Jim Infantino
